What do the numbers on Fertilizer Bags Represent
Bag of Fertilizer
20 – 10 – 10 – 5
Nitrogen: Forms, four-fifths of the earth’s atmosphere and is an essential constituent of proteins, mucleic acids, and other biological molecules which is assimulated into an organic compound. Promotes fast growth.
Phosphate: Any salt or Ester of phosphoric acid (used in many products) a crystalline solid which has many uses (Fertilizer – Soaps & Food Processing) Balances acidity of our soil.
Potash: An alkaline potasium compound (potassium carbonate or hydroxide) Provides nutrient to your soil.
Sulfur: Salt or Ester of sulphuric acid. Enriches your soil and results in a darker, green lawn.
